THE FOUR SECRETS TO WRITING A FEATURE-LENGTH SCREENPLAY IN JUST ONE WEEK (VIDEO)

In the Summer of 2017, I wrote and produced a feature film titled This World Alone. Because of the compressed time-frame of the production schedule, I was forced / coerced / highly encouraged to write the first draft of the screenplay in just ONE WEEK while also balancing the normal hectic schedule of a family-life and working a day job.

I needed to learn how to speed up my process and I needed to learn it quick. I believe that speed leads to momentum and momentum is the key ingredient in getting things done (like finishing a screenplay or making a movie)! I created this video resource because it was something I desperately needed to learn and implement in my own writing and truly believe that everyone can benefit from these concepts.

It's called The Four Secrets to Writing a Feature-Length Screenplay in Just One Week and in the video, I'll walk through the four big discoveries that helped me speed up my writing the most:

  1. It’s all mental

  2. Find a collaborator

  3. Start with a simple idea

  4. Use the timer method
